SPRING 2019 https://joom.ag/R9Ga
Golfers around the world witnessed a piece of sporting history when Tiger Woods claimed his fifth Masters in April this year - 22-years since he won his first green jacket in 1997. His contribution to golf has been inspiring and there is no doubt that the game has grown over the last 20 years due to influential players like him.
The Masters Champion will travel to Northern Ireland this July to try add The Open Championship to his collection of Majors. In advance of that historical event, our Irish Editor Kevin Markham reports back from Royal Portrush Golf Club and Northern Ireland’s coastline.
We also take a look at Scotland, the Home of Golf, which will be hosting The Scottish Open and Solheim Cup this year.
After a recent visit, our Asian correspondent Sam Sakocius reviews golf in Abu Dhabi. With the World Golf Awards being staged there later this year, it’s sure to be a special year for the game there.
Our Spring 2019 edition also carries exciting features on “18 Greatest Golf Resorts” and “Around the World in 18 Courses” by Jenna Heidstrom, in addition to course reviews of Quivira Golf in Mexico and Le Golf National in France. Lastly, we will also review some exciting events that the Destination Golf team was involved in: the Stena Line Media Masters, Asia Golf Tourism Convention and the World Luxury Hotel Awards.
