As the winter closes in and daylight hours fade away, the golf season generally winds down from October on. However, for those working in golf tourism, it’s the complete opposite. Team DG have been on trips to Ireland, Scotland, Valencia, Daytona Beach and Sri Lanka. Follow our travels on Twitter (@Dest_golfguide), Facebook (@destinationgolf) or Instagram (@destinationgolfglobal).
Our cover story focusses on Daytona Beach in the United States, an established golf destination that Peter Ellegard visited on behalf of Destination Golf. Our fearless reporter feels the raw power of stock car racing (NASCAR) at Daytona International Speedway in addition to visiting the other attractions and top-quality golf courses that are on offer.
Our reporter for South-East Asia, Mr. Sam Sakocius, interviews the current holder of the World Golf Awards Golf Designer of the Year gong, Sir Nick Faldo. We get an insight into his love for course design, particularly in South East Asia, as well as his busy life giving back to junior golf and presenting on CBS.
Our readers enjoyed the Golf Kitchen feature in our last edition, so Diana DeLucia is back with another mouth-watering article. Diana speaks to Jose Sanchez, who is the Executive Chef at the exclusive Arnold Palmer-designed Tradition Golf Club in La Quinta, California.
Our other features focus on the Druids Glen Resort Corporate Day in Ireland and the World Luxury Hotel Awards.
We hope you enjoy our latest Global Guide.
The DG Team.
