Set on a 520-acre estate with a unique coastal setting, Fairmont St Andrews encompasses the finest in local culture with luxury and elegance. The golf facilities enhance the resort offerings with two world-class golf courses. The Torrance is a traditional par 72 championship course where the front nine works its way around the hotel prior to utilising the property’s seas views on the back nine. The course has hosted the Scottish Seniors Open and Open Championship Final Qualifying.
The Kittocks makes full use of the resort’s coastal location and is arguably the more pleasing course visually. It has large rolling greens, undulating fairways and holes perched on top of the cliff tops that give breathtaking sea views. The Kittocks has hosted the Euro Pro Tour Championship and, in July 2016, the Scottish Golf World Youth Open. In July 2017, the Scottish Golf World Boys Open will be held on it and in 2019 it is sent to host either the Scottish Golf Strokeplay or Matchplay Championship events.
Practice facilities include an all-grass driving range with a putting and short game area. Buggies and Golf Boards are available for hire with golf club storage in abundance.
The hotel is underwent a refurbishment programme which was completed by July early 2017.
