Golf takes pride of place at Fancourt, and deservedly so. All of the estate’s 18-hole golf courses - Montagu, Outeniqua and The Links - have garnered praise from the international golfing community and their fairways attract players from all corners of the world. Montagu and Outeniqua, both sprawling parkland courses, are ranked number six and sixteen in the country respectively, while Scottish links-inspired course The Links takes pride of place at number one. The courses are managed by professional golfers Tyronne Farrell (The Links) and Neil Walsh-Tucker (Montagu and Outeniqua) under the guidance of General Manager Lloyd Martindale.
Fancourt has hosted an array of prestigious tournaments including The President’s Cup in 2003 and 2012 Volvo World Match Play Championship. No visit to Fancourt is complete without a game of golf and beginners are encouraged to make use of the professional guidance and state-of-the-art facilities at Fancourt’s exceptional Golf Academy, a teaching facility overseen by experienced PGA professionals.
The resort has 133 rooms comprising of two accommodation offerings, Fancourt Hotel and The Manor House, a boutique hotel.
The Fancourt hair salon, ladies boutique, two Golf Pro Shops, tennis courts, indoor and outdoor swimming pools, fishing dams and walking trails provide guests with luxurious and exciting entertainment.
Glorious swimming beaches are easily accessible and mountain biking, horse riding, picnics and hikes can be arranged on request. Sightseeing excursions in the picturesque coastal towns of Knysna, Plettenberg Bay and Mossel Bay are also available.
