Sentosa Golf Club is one of the most established golf clubs in Singapore. Opened in 1974, it is home to two Championship ready golf courses, The Serapong and The Tanjong.
The Golf courses are situated on the premier island resort of Sentosa, also known as The State of Fun.
The 500-hectare island resort is home to an exciting array of themed attractions, award-winning spa retreats, lush rainforests, golden sandy beaches, resort accommodations, world-renowned golf courses, a deep-water yachting marina and luxurious residences – making Sentosa a vibrant island resort for business and leisure. Making Sentosa its home, too, is Singapore’s first integrated resort, Resorts World Sentosa, which operates South East Asia’s first Universal Studios theme park.
With over 40 years in establishment and home of the Singapore Open for eight years, Sentosa Golf Club is also the host venue for the HSBC Women’s Champions since 2013. From 2016 to 2018, the Club will host the SMBC Singapore Open, featuring the top male players from the region and beyond.
Offering more than just a good game of golf, the Club also has excellent dining facilities and club amenities and currently has over 1500 members. The Golfers’ Terrace offers golfers and diners a sumptuous spread of local delights. Authentic Japanese cuisine with the freshest ingredients can also be enjoyed at the Sushi Kondo Japanese restaurant located in the Clubhouse.
The Serapong is one of the top five championship courses in Asia, and is well-known as the battlefield for the prestigious Singapore Open from 2005 to 2012.
The Serapong course was opened in 1982 and is the creation of world-renowned golf course designer Ronald Fream. The Course is widely revered as one of the most finely laid out courses in Singapore-and for good reason. With spectacular views of Sentosa, the surrounding South China Sea, the iconic Singapore harbour and the Lion City skyline, this beautiful golf course merges nature, scenery and rolling greens into a truly unique golfing experience.
The Tanjong opened in 1972 was originally designed by Frank Pennick and has had major investment into remodeling the course and building a spectacular new clubhouse back in the 90s.Praised as the most scenic 18hole in Singapore, the popular The Tanjong course was nominated by Asian Golf Review as Singapore’s best golf course for three consecutive years from 1997 to 1999. However keeping up their high standards ensuring the quality of The Tanjong, the Club recognised that it was time for the course to be rejuvenated and from only last month, The Tanjong will be closed for a year to make way for an even more spectacular course offering a unique and memorable golf playing experience unlike any other in Asia, opening in November 2016.
A long list of accolades have been awarded to Sentosa Golf Club, most recently the Serapong course was awarded “Singapore’s Best golf course” at the World Golf Awards 2015
