The World Luxury Spa and Restaurant Awards are established global organizations providing luxury spas and restaurants with recognition for world-class service excellence provided to guests. Awards are presented to luxury spas and restaurants on a country, regional, continent and global basis. Winners are selected by public vote, providing true recognition that reflects the hard work and dedication exhibited by the staff of all nominees and winners.
Each year a new destination and luxury property is sourced and selected to host the gala celebration, where award winners have the opportunity to receive their awards on stage while wining and dining in a luxurious setting. For 2018, the World Luxury Spa & Restaurant Awards are proud to announce its host property as Galgorm Resort & Spa, Northern Irelands premier luxury hotel and spa. The event is set to take place on the evening of 14 July 2018. Awards on the night will be bestowed on spas and restaurants who excelled within their service delivery areas, be it the most luxurious beauty salons, the best garden spas or the ultimate in fine dining cuisine.
Set within 163 acres of lush parkland with the spectacular River Maine flowing through the estate, Galgorm Resort has a truly unique setting. Guests will enjoy the tranquillity of nature and experience pure relaxation in the Spa and Thermal Village with an extensive selection of riverside hot tubs, indoor and outdoor heated pools, steam rooms and saunas. The Resort also boasts a selection of restaurants and bars and extensive conference and banqueting facilities.
With luxurious facilities to enjoy and its renowned warm welcome, Galgorm is the perfect location for an event of this stature. “We were blown away by the genuine hospitality of the staff, the sheer beauty of the grounds and surrounding nature, the incredible spa and thermal village and the range of dining and entertainment options available on site. It was an easy choice for us that this was to be the resort to host our event.” says Joanna Evans, Executive Manager for the World Luxury Spa Awards.
Northern Ireland itself is a must-see destination. Over one billion pounds has been invested in the capital city of Belfast and the whole country has come alive as a vibrant, exciting new business tourism destination. Lonely Planet recently named Belfast and the Causeway Coastal Route as its top destination for 2018 and there are a wealth of activities and sites to see within short driving distances from the resort. Rolling green hills, bright blue oceans, Giant’s Causeway, the Titanic Museum and if you dare, crossing the 30-meter-high Carrick-a-Rede Rope Bridge.
“We are honoured to be welcoming our guests to such a remarkable property for this special occasion and also to be bringing them to Northern Ireland as a destination with so many experiences awaiting. We look forward to once again celebrating the crème de la crème of the luxury dining and wellness industries and their dedication towards service excellence.” says Linda Cooper, Executive Manager for the World Luxury Restaurant Awards.
